Getting Started

The Francis Family Karate Legacy


Karate is great way to get fit in a structured and methodical way. Lessons are

structured in such a way to develop strength, stamina, discipline, focus, concentration and self confidence, as well as having the ability to combat bullying and learning to defend yourself.

Additionally, the lessons are structured to incorporate quarterly assessments where students sit grading’s (a physical assessment or test of the student’s progress and prowess in Karate). Successful completion of a grading results in the student being awarded a coloured belt (see Getting Started Webpage for full details) and, hopefully, if they continue they may one day be awarded the prestigious Black Belt.

Karate is suitable for men, women, boys

and girls from ages 5 to 105.

NB: You do not have to be fit to start Karate.
